Zoo New England offers homeschool classes for children ages 6 – 12 at both Zoos!

Classes run from 10:30 – 12:30 and do not include Zoo Admission.  If you have questions, please contact the Education Department at 617-989-3742 or via e-mail at education@zoonewengland.com

Pricing for Stone Zoo: $180 for all four series for Members, $200 for all four series for Non-members (proof of membership required).  Sibling discount available.

Tuesdays (5 weeks) in October – Animal Interactions at Stone Zoo

Animals interact in countless ways; come to Stone Zoo and learn all about Animal Interactions stretching from parasitism, symbiosis, mimicry, predator vs prey and how they have evolved to compete with each other. 

Program dates are:  Tuesdays, October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.

Tuesdays in November (4 weeks) – Dinosaurs! at Stone Zoo

Dinosaurs are often a favorite group of animals to study for so many; join us this month at Stone Zoo to learn all sorts of new facts about prehistoric life. Beginning with the detailed yet incomplete fossil record, moving through early tetrapods, ancient reptiles, sauropods, and the evolution of birds from the therapod dinosaurs.

Program dates are: Tuesdays, November 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

Tuesdays in January (4 weeks) - Animal Myths & Misconceptions at Stone Zoo

Curious creatures are everywhere, so we’ll take a look at many unusual, wacky and misunderstood critters. During this session we’ll also learn about factual and fantastical creatures, animals with amazing superpowers, abilities and wild animals that live in rough environments called extremophiles.

Program dates are: Tuesdays, January 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.

Tuesdays in March (4 weeks) – Habitats, Ecosystems, Biomes & Cycles at Stone Zoo

Wildlife biology is one of the most common but complicated subjects a biologist can study. Come along with us as we talk about a single animal’s habitat, expand to the interconnectedness of an ecosystem, the global commonalities of biomes and the abiotic cycles that link them all together.

Program dates are: Tuesdays, March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.

Cancellation Policy: You can change your registration up until two days before the program by logging back into this registration. Please note that after that time these programs are non-refundable unless cancelled by Zoo New England. Please contact the Education department with any questions.
